Important Background InfoHow these demos stay safe before live systemsOpenClose notes
What is an API? An API (Application Programming Interface) is a controlled way for software tools to communicate. In our current demos, API behavior is simulated with mock data; real vendor connections require written scope, client-owned access, and security review.
What is a Webhook Token? A webhook token is a shared verification value that helps a receiving system confirm where an event came from. It reduces risk, but production systems still need access rules, logging, rotation, and security review.
How is security handled? Production integrations should use vendor-approved authentication such as OAuth where available, client-owned accounts, least-privilege permissions, and revocable access. The portfolio demos stay simulated unless a production build is separately scoped and reviewed.
